The talk of Lavanya at NASSCOM, India’s Association of Software companies, was a great success. It was an eye opener for many and was followed up with a long list of deep questions about business & philosophy.
Excerpt from NASSCOM about the talk “Mr Rastogi has extraordinary oratory skills. He asked a fundamental question. If you multiply “yourself”, then how can you possibly be replacing yourself? Is it tenable? Well, let’s park this thought awhile and we will come back to it. He also clarified, that there is no magic key and this study is still “work in progress.” It mostly depends on the granularity of what your job entails. On a lighter vein, he remarked, that if you are also into ordering snacks or micro managing your vendors, then you need to take a step back and take a broader view of things. It must be emphasized again, that it is not a one shot deal and the leader has to keep working at it diligently as it will always remain work in progress.”
