The PHP Barcelona User Group is proud to announce its first international PHP Conference. It will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27th, at Barcelona.

The PHP Barcelona User Group (aka PHPBarcelona) is a non-profit organization aimed at spreading and interchanging knowledge among the PHP developers community of Barcelona and surroundings, and also evangelizing the PHP technology on universities and enterprises as well.

This year they had celebrated another events but this one is the first which will be developed completely in English. The highlights of this conference will be the talks of internationally recognized PHP developers, like Derick Rethans and Scott MacVicar among others.

OSScamp Delhi September 2008

OSScamp Delhi September 2008 is the latest avatar of the community-driven Unconferences organised by the OSScamp Delhi Community. This time, the event is being organised as an umbrella unconference by the OSScamp Community and the Linux Users Group, IIT Delhi.

The venue is Block 6, Lecture Theatre 2, IIT Delhi.

Talks will include, amongst others:

MySQL Camp Bangalore with Kaj Arno

Sun India and OSSCube are organising a MySQL Camp on July 29th 2008 in the City of Bangalore. Kaj Arno, VP (Community Relations), MySQL, will be the star attraction at the meetup. During his visit in India, Kaj is specifically discussing how Sun’s acquisition of MySQL is going to change the world’s most popular open source database.

  2. How to Contribute Code to MySQL by Thava Alagu
    A discussion on How the community can contribute code to the MySQL DB Project.(30 minutes)
  3. Performance Optimisation in Enterprise Application by Sonali Minocha
    A discussion on how performance optimisation can be carried out using MySQL for Enterprise Applications. (30 minutes)

Agile NCR Workshop

This will be a hands on Introduction to Agile workshop that will benefit, a agile newbie as much as an agile practitioner. The workshop will give you a background of agile practices and expose you to SCRUM + XP the two leading agile methods being practiced worldwide.

The Workshop format is interactive and the workshop will aim to equip the participants with enough knowledge to get them started on their agile journey. We are also planning an informal lunch and networking session for the agile community.

OSSCamp Delhi Summer Edition

The OSSCamp Community announces the OSSCamp Delhi Summer Edition, an open source unconference scheduled for June 21st 2008 at Indian Social Institute, Lodi Road, New Delhi.

The OSSCamps Community is organizing OSSCamp Delhi Summer Edition in the city of New Delhi on June 21st, 2008. For the first time in India, an unconference is being organized as a platform for highlighting and promoting FOSS projects from India, while keeping up the tradition of organizing a range of constituent camps such as Drupal Camp, MySQL Camp, Web 2.0 Camp, etc.

Around 100 Campers are expected to camp at OSSCamp Delhi Summer Edition. Most of these are professionals from the IT industry with active contribution to the Open Source community. Some are Designers, Artists, Lawyers, etc. who understand the implications of FOSS for future and are adopting to the philosophy of Open Source. The event is filled with voluntary sessions on FOSS Technologies and Projects, and is acting as a platform to showcase one’s new development using Open Source tools and technology, while also fostering new idea.

OSSCamps are not-for-profit community events, relying solely on the sponsors to cover the cost of the event.
